Voted by Visit England as one of the ‘101 Things To Do Before You Go Abroad’, Buckler’s Hard is a peaceful haven on the Beaulieu River. The Maritime Museum gives a fascinating insight into the history of this 18th century shipbuilding village, including those built for Nelson’s Navy. After a walk beside the riverbank, giving an opportunity to enjoy the abundant wildlife that inhabits the area, a visit to the Master Builder’s Hotel is highly recommended for a refreshing beer or a bite to eat.
