Lymington is a port town situated on the west bank of the Lymington River, on the Solent. The town has a large tourist industry, based on its proximity to the New Forest and its harbour. It is a major yachting centre with three marinas.
An extremely popular summer attraction are the Lymington Open Air Sea Water Baths. Built in 1833 it is the oldest lido in the UK and is also one of the largest in size and in volume with 1.7 million gallons of water!
